I booked the hotel late evening when I was boarding the flight for La Paz in Bogota, as my flight to Uyuni the same morning was oversold and I had to stay in La Paz. The hotel replied with confirmation very quickly and as I was landing at 2am, I asked difference I could be picked up - that was arranged as well I have stayed in many hotels during my travels and for work, and I chose this hotel first judging by the photos - it has the charm! The photos didn't really show the full beauty- i was admiring the idea of the theme of the hotel I can mention lot of small things that add to the experience, like small welcome candies in the room or the view during the breakfast (and the staff was very quickly replenishing the breakfast items, so there was never an empty plate), but I really want to thank the receptionist (I am so so sorry, I don't even know his name), who made me feel really special - he helped me to book the ticket for the bus for Uyuni, caught a taxi for the station for me and asked the driver didn't know where the meeting point was, he sent one of his staff with ne in the taxi to make sure I was not lost Thank you so so much !

I liked the location. My room, on the 5th floor, had French windows on to the street below which I loved. The views were amazing. I had to accept that it was a bit noisy but ear plugs sorted that. My room had a double bed but it could only really accommodate one person once you have your luggage etc. only one side if the bed had a bedside table. There was sockets for charging items. There was a heater for cold days & nights. The shower was hot and powerful. The hotel itself was quiet. I used the stairs to get me used to the altitude. The hallways and walls had lovely colourful murals. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. The staff every morning were very busy and helpful. The breakfast room is on the top floor with a colourful balcony with an incredible view of the city. All staff were very friendly & helpful especially Luis on the main reception. There’s a kettle in reception for on tap hot drinks. Plenty of sofas and a library too. The lift is very useful for a 6 story hotel. The cleaners were great. I loved my stay here. I could walk everywhere from the front door. So much so I stayed longer. I couldn’t be bothered to go to Uyuni.

Luis on reception checked me in this time, and he was an absolute delight. He's kind and welcoming, he made sure I had absolutely everything I needed a put a smile on my face with his friendly and bubbly demeanor! Later in the evening I realised I had booked myself a much earlier bus out of the city than I originally thought, so at 11pm, Juan (another receptionist) helped me plan my early morning and ordered me a taxi to ensure I wouldn't miss my bus! He was still there in the morning when I left, and he even helped me carry my bags to the taxi! What a guy. 20/10 for staff experience here, I highly recommend this place :)!

We used this hotel as a base for a week while we explored La Paz, Uyuni, and Copacabana. It was very affordable and we really enjoyed unpacking here and then taking small overnight bags for our other trips. We had lots of early morning starts and there was always someone to help us at the front desk. The room was clean with a good shower. The location is excellent, right by the witches market, which has lots of restaurants and bars.

The staffs were very friendly, helpful and amiable, they would help you what you want once they could. They let you early check-in, and provided storage after check-out. The location was very convenient, near to travel agencies, shops, restaurants, cable car station, ATMs, you can easily access to anywhere you want. The room was very good, they provided heater for you to use and they provided the coca tea for you to conquer the altitude sick. I'll continue to stay here once I come here again.
